Obituary for Robert L. Brinkman

Robert "Bob" Lee Brinkman, 76, peacefully entered Eternal Life while surrounded by family on November 3, 2018 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Bob was born in Indianapolis on May 28, 1942 to the late James E. and Arbutus N. (Miller) Brinkman.

Bob was united in marriage in October 1964 with the love of his life, Linda Marie (Johnson) Brinkman, and they remained devoted to one another for over 54 years. She survives him but is in a nursing home due to late stages of Alzheimer's Disease. Bob is also survived by three sons: Keith Robert of Africa, Jay Michael of Martinsville and Mark (Lisa) Donald of Greenwood; grandchildren: Jeremy Michael and Jaylie Elizabeth and Dustin Lee and Evan Marcus; brother, Donald E. Brinkman of Florida. Bob is preceded by his parents and grandson, Austin E. Brinkman.

Bob worked hard to provide for his family - working many years at Milturn Corp. and later running his own small business, Brinkman Precision Grinding, out of his home shop. He always had projects that he was working on. Bob enjoyed family vacations, camping, fishing, and hunting both in Indiana and elsewhere in the country and having family holidays in his home.

Family and friends may show their love and support during a memorial gathering from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Jones Family Mortuary, 4165 East Allison Rd. Mooresville, IN 46158. Pastor Chris Page will officiate the Celebration of Life Memorial Service following the gathering at 7:30 in the Funeral home. Bob's wishes to be cremated are being respectfully honored.
