Condolence From: Rex Jones
Condolence: I send my heartfelt condolences to the family. Although I only met Dale a few times, I surely knew of his dedicated service to the Lord in so many ways. May God's consolation be with you.

Rex Jones, Pastor of Greenfield Friends Meeting.

Condolence From: Don Wells
Condolence: Sylvia, Francene and Family;

I am so sorry to hear of Dale's passing. I'm even sadder to know that we lived within 15 miles of each other and never knew it. Dale & I graduated from Grinnell HS together in 1963. I remember Dale most for his strong Christian faith.
Sylvia, my prayers are with you. I am an interim pastor for a Baptist church in Piqua, OH and will not be able to attend the memorial celebration I will be in Piqua.
Francene, if you are in town before Jan. 5 or after Jan. 9, please give me a call. It would be great to see you again and meet your family and Sylvia. (937) 418-1848

In Christs Love,
Don Wells

Condolence: Dale Graves was one of the teachers that I remember most clearly from my time at Mooresville High School from 1968 to 1972. I greatly appreciated his skill in teaching math and his care for each of his students. And I appreciate him far more now that Don Adams tracked me down in Raleigh NC and shared on the phone some of what Dale was doing outside the classroom both at that time and in the past few decades, especially in Belize. It is wonderful that you are waiting to have a memorial gathering so that more folks who have known him through the years can come together and honor him and the God that he served. May God multiply the honor that He will receive due to Dale Graves’ faithful service in so many capacities! And may God give each of those who loved Dale special comfort and grace as you gather together and share.

Condolence: Where to begin with a wonderful tribute to Dale Graves. He was a man of God in all aspects of his life. Dale and I go back to 1976 when he had a part in my securing a position at MHS. Dale and I coached together, worked together on several projects from Quaker Haven to building Mooresville welcome sign to his summer helping me build my log cabin home by Pioneer Park. Most recently when I was up north, Dale, Clark Hadley and I loaded a truckload of trash to go to dump. We had a great time reminiscing of our many excursions like this. I will stop here but could go on and on talking about Dale. I close praying for Sylvia, family and friends that your hearts be lightened in your time of sorrow. God bless you all.

Condolence: Dearest Sylvia and family, my heart is heavy in learning of the passing of Dale, or Mr. Graves as I will always think of him as a wonderful teacher and coach from high school. His enthusiasm and endless encouragement was infectious. I so enjoyed our short visits at the golf course where he would share his latest mission projects. Our family's prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Condolence: Dale was an extraordinary teacher and man of faith. He not only taught his subjects at a high level but also lessons in character. His positive influence is a legacy that will pass through generation after generation. Linda and I are praying for Sylvia and the family.

Condolence: Dale was my track team coach back in 1978. I still remember him telling us that if we ran we could eat anything we want! That advice sounded good to me! We reconnected through Facebook, which is where I learned about and followed his cancer journey. May God bless his family and loved ones with comfort and strength to endure this loss.

Condolence From: Rob Ellis
Condolence: Mr. Dale Graves was my all time favorite teacher when I was in high school. He taught me how to use spreadsheets to help him keep track of his girls cross country team. He volunteered me with the Assistant principal at the time to put together some of the zenthi heathkit computers for the new computer lab, that involved a lot of soldering and electronics knowledge which he had taught me. Later years, I had 3 different times become a high school and I even used some of the things I saw him do as a teacher in class to help me be a better teacher. He was a great man, loved God, and I am even glad I got to share that with him as well, his love for Christ.

Prayers for his family he leaves behind, I personally will miss him deeply, and hope to see him again with Jesus.

In His Grip,

- Rob Ellis
