Robert "Bob" J. Coy, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 9, 2019. Robert was born in Indianapolis on February 13, 1933 to Wilbur Coy and Florence (Norman) Ford. Robert married Helen (Utterback) Coy on December 8, 1951.

Robert was a mechanic with Olin Brass for 10 years, enjoyed the outdoors and raising ducks. Robert retired from the United States Air Force after serving 20 years.

Robert is survived by two sons: Robert S. Coy of Martinsville and Gary (Tracey) Coy of Martinsville; six grandchildren: Crystal, Amy, Jaima, Kylee, Travis and Kenna; seven great grandchildren; brother, Donald Coy; two sisters: Shirley Gordon and Georgia O'Neill.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Debi Holderfield; son, Terry Coy; and granddaughter, Melissa Coy.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019 and 9:30-10:30 am on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Billy Gott will officiate the celebration of life service at 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Funeral Home.
