Obituary for Aloma E. Karto (Remsburg)

Aloma E. Karto, 92, of Camby, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Aloma was born in Camby on June 14, 1926 to the late Walker and Ida (Odegaard) Remsburg. Aloma married the late James Karto.

Aloma was a 1944 graduate of Decatur Central High School, she continued her education at Earlham College, and then went on to study piano and organ at Jordan College of Music in Indianapolis; she was a piano and organ teacher for most of her life; and she was a member of Fairfield Friends Church.

Aloma is survived by her son, David (Annie) Karto of Treasure Island, FL and daughter, Anita Karto of Camby; four grandchildren: Nicole, Travis, Pete and Benjamin; 10 great grandchildren.

Aloma is also preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Pauline Remsburg.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 1 to 2 pm, Monday, May 20, 2019 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville, with a celebration of life service to follow at 2 pm. Aloma will be laid to rest in Fairfield Friends Cemetery.
