My heart goes out to Erik's entire family. I have many fond memories of us as children playing at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Every July, around Erik's birthday, we always had a get together in Mooresville and as a kid that was one of my summer highlights. We would ride on the three wheeler and Steve would take us out on the tractor. I remember when Erik got his very first car. He was so proud of it. He took me for a ride in it, when I was around eight years old. It was a fun ride and we listened to AC/DC. I remember one Christmas when Grandma knitted us matching stocking caps and got us matching vests to wear. We were two handsome dudes! Erik, you were the closest thing I had to a brother. I'm deeply saddened by your passing. My sincere sympathy to Barb, Shanon, Erik's children, Anita and the entire family.

My heart is so sad and I feel so empty knowing that you have left us while so young. I was there the day you were born in Indianapolis. Your parents and Grandparents couldn't have been happier that day. I have so many memories of you and my son, Chad, growing up together. I will miss your cute smile and soft voice. My condolences to the entire family.
