Obituary for Jeffrey A Cookenour

Jeffrey A Cookenour, 55, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019 with family by his side. He was born November 1st, 1963 in Indianapolis to Jacob and Verna (Corbett) Cookenour. He resided most of his life in Indianapolis.

Jeffrey is survived by three daughters, Bernadette White of Indianapolis, Allysson Cookenour of Camby, and Loretta Padgett of Camby; seven grandchildren, Rashawnia, Teron, Jordan, Dashaia, Skylynn, Annabelle, and Zoey; two brothers, Joe Cookenour, and John Cookenour; two sisters, Regina Gillie, and Julie Briere. Jeffrey is preceded in death by both of his parents and three brothers, Jacob, James and Jake.

Jeffrey was a truck driver for XPO Logistics in Indianapolis for seven years. He loved collecting cars, especially Roadmasters and his '79 Monte Carlo. He also enjoyed remote control model cars and spending time with his grandkids.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, July 8th and from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9th at Jones Crossing in Mooresville. Pastor Nate Patterson will officiate Jeffrey's celebration of life service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9th at Jones Crossing. Jeffrey will be laid to rest at the West Newton Cemetery in West Newton.
